Large lovely ornate hall tray or serving tray, with a patterned (chased?) surface, ornate feet and handles. We've searched this all over and can't seem to find a makers mark, though this is certainly from the period of silver and plated pieced hallmarked with stamping or engraved marks, not just stickers as used these days!
This is rough and very tarnished, with wear and scratching to the silver plate. From the green verdigris, we're guessing that this piece is probably silver over copper, but it badly needs a good cleaning, unless you love dark dull old silver. Many people do (myself included!) so we'll leave that up to you.
