antique tarnished silver plate footed tray, very ornate round stand Victorian style vintage

Very ornate early 1900s vintage silver plated tray with three little feet - this is a lovely riser to hold a small display, a grouping of bar bottles or vases, holiday decorations etc.. It's about 11 1/2" across the rim of the plate.

The hallmarks are those of W &SB, Blackington silver plate. It's very spotted and dark with tarnish, I've left it just as I found it.

I'm very partial to the tarnished silver (dark and moody, not very shiny), but it's really not a terrible job to give it a little polishing if you like more a more silvery look.

I'm not sure you'd ever be able to get this particular piece bright as new - but then, you probably don't want vintage silver at all in that case!
