I recently learned about the vintage '3 L' Ball Mason jars from a internet friend, who's collected many old jars and the stories behind them! And then I remembered I'd seen this type of jar before, and got them out to list for you.
This is a ONE QUART jar, the 3L refers to the style of the embossed lettering - not a three liter jar at all. It's an aqua blue slope shoulder type Ball Mason jar, with Ball written with a long swoop on the end, hence the 3L name.
This one is marked low on the jar - please see our other jar listings for a 3L marked high on the jar. I believe all are early 1900s vintage.
This one is about 6 3/4" tall overall, no lid included. It's in good condition, very slight roughness to the jar rim.
