Vintage hand cranked farm seeder... - Cyclone Seed Sower - The Cyclone Seeder Co. Inc., Urbana, Illinois - since 1868 -. This vintage farm seeder is made for broadcast seeding, a technique used mostly for grains and forage crops. The paper label on the underside of the seeder is marked for model 1A and 1A1 and gives instructions for Alfalfa, Clovers, Kentucky Blue Grass, Sweet Sudan Grass, Rapes, Wheat, Oats, Flax and Millet, Yellow Mustard, lawn grasses, fertilizers and more.
We're not sure of the exact vintage of this seeder, but the spreader wheel is plastic and the frame is wood, so we're guessing 1960s or 1970s.
There is a large hole in the canvas shoulder bag that will need to be mended and some staining in areas.
