mid-century vintage Santa Claus doll w/ painted cloth face, wind up music box

Mid-century vintage Santa doll in a red cotton corduroy suit, painted cloth face something like a Lenci doll. This really is 'Santa baby', looks like a little boy playing Santa instead of the usual (often slightly creepy) old guy!

There's no labels or makers marks on this piece at all that I could find. It's clearly a professionally produced toy made commerically, not a one of a kind handcrafted Santa. I'd guess most likely US made, post WWII, pre-1970s. A baby boomer toy, of course!

Santa stands pretty well on his own on those flat footed felt boots. He's about 13" tall overall. There's a wind-up music box at the back, it didn't work when I tried it, but I gave it just a turn and didn't wind it tight or force it.
