Vintage ceramic tile with a Currier and Ives or other similar period print, set into the center of a solid brass charger 'frame'. It's a decorative piece, made as a picture, rather than a plate. The back of the frame has a hook for hanging.
The tile is marked Wheeling, and the beaten brass frame of the plate is marked England. It's 11" in diameter overall (tile is 6" in diameter).
There's some discoloration and crazing to the tile, which really does not detract from this at all... it's a lovely piece!
