vintage Mexican folk art hen & rooster chickens, brightly painted chalkware

Pair of vintage chalkware chickens, brightly hand-painted, marked Mexico. The rooster measures 11" tall x 8", the hen is a little bit smaller.

The hen has a chip to her tail leaving a tail 'feather' missing. Both pieces have a few small dings and chips here and there, shabby and rustic.
