Very heavy old jelly kettle, solid brass with an iron ring handle. We couldn't find a marking on this, but we believe it's probably mid to late 1800s vintage, and was brought over from England in the early 1950s. It's 11 1/2" across the rim x 6 1/2" deep, weighs 7 1/2 POUNDS!
It's been used, and shows age and wear (which we like). It's a good genuine old kettle, made to use, not a newer reproduction piece made just for decoration. We haven't cleaned it, or touched it with polish, it's exactly as a found from a small town estate here in Wisconsin. It's crack and hole free, and water tight.
