vintage Italian tole gold wrought metal roses, Florentine style base for frame or cake stand

60s vintage ornate metal roses with worn antique gold finish. We believe it's a lamp base, or a base for a frame, or maybe a vanity mirror, or would work well to hold a glass or china plate as a cake stand.

It's about 4 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" across the ring base on the bottom, about 5 1/2" in diameter overall. This has a screw at the end of the stem, screw is about 3/16" but possibly metric sizing as it's a piece from Italy.
