old antique amber glass ship's lantern fog lamp shade

Vintage glass lantern shade, for a fog lamp, we think? This is amber colored glass, and is marked very faintly at the top of the shade (something) mfg. co. number 1.

The shade measures 4 1/2" tall, 2 5/8" and 3 1/4" at the top and bottom openings. This is an older piece, we think, and the glass needs a good cleaning.
