Lot of 50 (yes, FIFTY!) vintage huckaback woven towels, most linen, a few are cotton. Almost every towel is different - these are different sizes too - nice for layering. Most are about 12" x 20" to 20" x 38".
Most of these are fancywork towels, with lace, or embroidery or monograms. They're are early to mid 20th century vintage, out of a number of old estates here in the midwest.
These don't show a lot of use, though most of them have been used. We saw very few holes, the fabrics look good without fraying or thinning. Nearly every one has spots or discoloration from use or years of storage - these could use a good soak!
These are all the fine huck cloth type linen, with nubby woven texture. They were made as glass towels or kitchen towels or even bath towels, many years ago. There's nothing as nice as the old linen towels, so soft, lint free, absorbent. And these look as pretty as can be, besides!
