Venise style lace collar, late 19th or early 20th century vintage - for a Victorian or Edwardian era dress, or to trim a wedding gown!
This is an authentic old piece out of the estate of lace collector and dealer. She left very few notes on the history or identification of the pieces she collected, so sadly I know very little about this.
It's an ivory color, all cotton, I believe. There's some faint discoloration at the neck edge, but the only fraying we found was at the open ends. No spots, not more than a couple of broken threads.
This measures about 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" neck opening area (fairly flexible, as this is lace, easily shaped)and 3 1/2" deep.
