Bates vintage woven cotton bedspread The Patriot label heritage candlewick colonial style spread

Vintage Montgomery Ward label cotton candlewick bedspread, 'The Patriot', 92" wide x 102" long. Made for a double bed, but of course this depends on how you want it to fit. Fits a queen if you don't want / need the puddled look, or if you have a tall bed with a bedskirt you'd be happy to show. Perfect for a sofa, too.

This is probably a Bates bedspread, or maybe Morgan - Jones, I think. Pattern is a classic colonial style, like a George Washington spread. All cotton, pale ivory white with lovely fringe.

The fabric and fringe look very good for the most part - one little spot, a few pulls. It's been neatly mended at the headboard end, but it's sturdy and washes well. I just ran this though my washer and dryer, so it's clean, soft and fluffy. And there will be no surprises like unexpected tears when you wash it!
