old antique Bread lace doily & silver tray, early 1900s vintage bread basket

Early 1900s vintage Community Plate silver bread tray and crochet lace doily cloth with BREAD at the center. We seldom find these bread doilies, and it doesn't look as though this one was ever used.

This Oneida Community silverplated pattern is Grovsenor, early 1920s. The tray shows some tarnish, but little scratching, no visible silver wear.

The tray measures 14" long overall, 9" long over the area for the bread. My French bread is a little too long for this piece, as you can see. An oval loaf (or a half length French bread) would fit better!
