1940s vintage wool or rayon / cotton camp blanket

Vintage camp blanket, rayon / cotton, we think, made to resemble wool? Or else maybe a wool blend. This has no label that we could find (and we think the black cotton seam binding was added later?).

The blanket measures 68" x 88". It's been used, and has some spots, also wear to the nap.
