old hand woven twined rag rugs, farmhouse primitive vintage rug lot from Wisconsin farm estate

Collection of old twined woven rag rugs, once a common item found in nearly every farmhouse in Wisconsin - but getting very hard to find these days. These are all out of one estate, handwoven in the old way.

The rugs are throw rug / door mat sizes - one 18" x 40", one 20" x 40", one 27" x 34", one 23" x 48". The rags are a mixture of colors and fibers, these rag rugs were really made from rags.

These are in good used condition, pretty clean. Some are showing some fraying to the edges, but these rugs are thick and heavy and are largely indestructible!
