vintage wool carding combs, old Whitemore Patent wood handled carders

Here is a pair of old wool carding combs, about 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" over the wire combs, both in good shape. The wooden paddles are marked Old Whitemore Patent, but we couldn't find a patent date.
