I love this 1940s vintage quilt - this is one of the prettiest country primitive quilts I've seen in a long time. The old cotton fabrics used here are a nice mix of colors and types, calico, feedsack prints, shirting stripes etc..
The backing is cotton feed sack fabric, all the same blue floral print. So pretty, you could use this this quilt with either side up!
It measures about 76" x 88", loosely hand quilted over a light cotton fill. It's all hand stitched piecing on the patchwork, too.
This is in fairly good condition overall - there are a few spots where the stitching needs to be re-sewn, and a couple of holes which need mending. Color is good, not yellowed, though it does have some spots (not terribly noticeable) from storage and use.
