Early 1900s vintage jacquard woven fabric with a couple surrounded by blue birds of happiness.
This was most likely made as a wedding gift, though I'm not sure if it was intended as a bed cover or a curtain panel or maybe even a tablecloth or table cover.
It measures 84" long x 64" wide, with fringe beyond that at the foot and two long sides. It's a silky (rayon, I think) thread on cotton, blue and white.
The edges and fringe are very worn and frayed, fragile. The bulk of it looks much stronger, though has fading, and some pulled threads.
It's a lovely old thing to cut for the antique fabric, not really usable in its current state. It might make a beautiful photo backdrop for wedding pictures, I think!
