vintage hand stitched quilt, snail’s trail patchwork mustard gold & white

Beautiful vintage quilt in a pattern I very seldom see - this is a snail trail pieced patchwork, mustard gold and unbleached white cotton, probably 1930s. It's hand stitched, made from cloth new at the time of its making. A lot of love and effort was put into this quilt.

It measures about 58" wide x 78" long, sized for a single (twin) bed. This doesn't look as though it's ever been used (there's no fraying or wear to the fabric) but it has a few serious condition problems from years of storage. These might improve with laundering, but we have not attempted it! I'll leave that to you quilt experts.

There's considerable foxing to the head and foot ends, where it was outside the folds. One end is much worse than the other, see pics. There's fading to the folds on the back (plain, not patchwork) side of the quilt. I saw only a couple of spots aside from the foxed areas.
