Early machine-age industrial vintage, adjustable brass table lamp. This has an adjustable height center column to change the position of the light bulb socket. It measures about 30" high to the top of the lamp finial. The height of the socket adjusts from 16" (from the base to the top of the light socket) up to about 25". It is 7 3/4" across the lamp base. The harp measures about 14 1/4" high and 9 1/2" wide.
This early lamp was hand made or produced on a small scale in a small workshop or factory. It was well made with visible, but very neat and well done solder joints at the mounting for the lamp harp. The brass has a lovely patina of tarnish and age. The mounting for the finial has been resoldered at some point.
The cord is quite long, over 5 feet long and looks good.
