1930s or 1940s vintage, adjustable light with a magnifying lens and the early industrial finish. This light is made to clamp onto a bed headboard (or maybe a workbench?). It has an old brass light socket with a rectangular bakelite turnkey marked Paulding and a long black electric cord.
This measures 7 inches long over the brass socket and 3.625 inches in diameter. The glass lens is 2.625 inches across. There is some old black friction tape around the base of the switch and you may want to rewire this as the insulation at the base of the cord is cracked and worn. There is some wear to the paint.
