Large antique World War I vintage, sepia tone photograph of soldiers in a small French village viewed from across a flowing stream. This photo is under glass in a very nice, solid walnut, frame.
In the photograph there is a group of soldiers wearing garrison caps working around a number of supply wagons with wooden wheels and what looks like it might be light field artillery (possibly wheeled machine guns) and maybe a ammunition caisson under the tree.
This measures 11 1/2" x 19 1/2" over the photo and about 16" x 23 1/2" over the frame. The frame has very nice simple lines and a lovely patina of age.
