natural nutria muskrat fur pelt, vintage tanned leather taxidermy hide

This I believe is a muskrat pelt, which is often called nutria in the fur trade. It's soft like a rabbit fur, but with a much thicker leather. Professionally tanned, this is in very good condition although it's over 50 years old.
