antique Pace woven / barbed wire ratchet fence stretcher, w/ 1895 patent date

Old antique mechanical double ratchet design fence wire stretcher from an old farm estate. This old fencing tool is marked "Pace Woven Wire Fence Co - Pat June 13 1895". This old fencing tool helps you pull the fence wire tight while you attach the wire to the fence posts. It has a double ratchet and paul system that is offset by about 1/2 tooth to allow you to slowly and easily pull the wire tight.
