Lot of 7 vintage 35mm photo slides of the storm damage to Monroe, Wisconsin from the April 11th, 1965 Palm Sunday tornado outbreak. These photos are out of an estate in northern Illinois. On April 11, (Palm Sunday) 1965, the United States had the largest outbreak of tornados in a single day up to that time and it is still the second largest number of reported tornados in the US in a single day. An F2 scale tornado hit Monroe, Wisconsin shortly after 2:00pm that Sunday and damaged or destroyed more then 100 buildings in Monroe, injured 40 people and caused about $4,000,000 in storm related damage. These slides are dated April 1965.
