primitive old farm tool, hand shears sheep shearing scissors forged steel

Early 20th century vintage sheep shears in good condition, not a lot of use on the blades. They measure 5 3/4" long over the blades, 12 1/2" long overall.

These need a tremendous amount of hand strength to work well, but they make a nice display piece even if you prefer a more modern clippers!

They have been painted at some point many years ago, and are largely rust free. We didn't see any makers marks, though it's possible they're marked, under the paint.
