unused vintage unbleached flax brown linen or hemp towels, fabric w/ blue stripe

Unused vintage hemp or flax linen kitchen towels - this is a beautiful toweling fabric, a natural brown with dark blue stripe.

There are ELEVEN towels in this lot, size on all about 30" long, 16" wide. These were cut from toweling sold by the yard, and have been very poorly hemmed (see photos) and then never used, never laundered.

This would make lovely fabric, or use as dish towels. If you plan to use these towels as towels we'd suggest unpicking the hems (easy to do) and re-hemming, either by sewing machine or by hand.

Well worth the effort, I think as these look so nice otherwise. Very little spotting, discoloration or soil to the fabric though these are over 50 years old.
