vintage white glaze pottery planter, gnomes holding log - McCoy? Shawnee?

Vintage pottery planter, two gnomes with a log, all-over creamy white color. This isn't marked, and I've seen about equal numbers of these attributed to McCoy pottery and Shawnee pottery.

I have no idea who made this, or it's exact vintage. But it's super cute, faux bois meets little people!

It measures about 8" long end to end. It's been used, and has soil marks and discolored crazing inside and out. No chips or repairs.
