long handled wooden spoon for a huge kettle or soap making pot, primitive vintage wood spoon

Old wood spoon with a very long handle (this is 4 3/4" long over the head, and 32" long end to end!). This is nice and clean, doesn't look as though it's seen a lot of use.

It was probably made to stir a sap boiler or soap pot, or a huge cast iron cauldron... we don't often find these really long handled mixing spoons.
