vintage figural lady sewing pincushions, lovely ladies chalkware dolls

This is a pair of vintage chalkware doll pincushions for vanity table or sewing box - both very shabby, these could use a little cleaning and restoration work.

They stand 6" in height, and the worn fabric 'skirt' pincushions measure 5" in diameter. We didn't find any markings, possibly made in Japan, or Occupied Japan?
