1800s antique covered dish w/ engraved coat of arms, silver over copper English Sheffield plate hallmark elephant or boar's head

Antique silver plated copper serving dish with a hallmark I am not familiar with. I think it's probably an English or Scots hallmark. It looks to me like an elephant, or maybe a boar's head?
Style of this piece is classically Georgian, though I'd expect this piece is more likely Victorian. There's copper very clearly visible under the worn silver, but I can't tell you if this is the older Sheffield plate or the 'newer' (still antique!) silver plate over copper.
The engraved coat of arms is also a little bit of a puzzle, as the design is very detailed and finely etched. The Latin motto reads Crede et Spera (trust and hope).
It's a beautiful, massive piece of silver plated copper. This is pretty heavy, and measures about 11 1/2" x 9 1/2" overall. There's utensil and knife scratches from use, and noticeable wear to the silver from many years of polishing. The patina is lovely, it just doesn't seem to have the tarnishing of 20th century silver and silver plate.
