1880s antique books The Great Republic complete set red marbled covers leather bound 4 volumes

Four volume set of The Great Republic by master historians, 1880s vintage. American history up to the time of publication, the last volume ends with the death of William McKinley.

These were published by / for John Wanamaker, with beautiful bindings and marbled endpapers, illustrated with engravings. The books measure 8 1/2" x 6", and have the same marbled paper on the covers with wine colored leather spines all in very good condition. Complete and clean.
