antique leather trimmed luggage, hemp or jute fabric suitcase dated 1904

Shabby antique traveling case, vintage 1904 (dated on the metal handle hardware). We love it just as it is - there must be some fine old adventures behind this one!

It's 21" x 13" 5 3/4", very worn and age discolored inside and out. The grasscloth looking material covering is probably jute or hemp or sisal, some type of rope-like fiber. The trimmings are leather, rubbed and worn.

We have no key (sorry!) and have no idea as to the original owner, who left only a small white patch where their label was removed.
