1920s 30s vintage mending cotton floss, thread for darning stockings Star sewing kit

Lovely old colored thread made for mending stockings... we love these soft pretty neutral colors, very different from the mid-century vintage 'suntan' shades!

There's a set and a partial set of the paper rolls of thread (marked Japan), and a Star mending kit. The Star thread is cotton, and I believe the Japan threads are also cotton rather than silk.
