1930s 40s vintage alligator handbag, leather purse w/ baby alligator taxidermy

1930s or 40s vintage alligator leather purse, about 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" overall. This is showing age and wear - mainly to the shoulder strap, the alligator itself looks good yet.

I don't believe this is up to the task of regular use, but it's a very interesting curiosity nonetheless. These old alligator bags are nearly antique now, and you don't see them around very much anymore.
