1940s vintage Mackinac Island souvenir, pottery pitcher w/ handpainted hollyhocks

Unmarked old handmade pottery piece, a small pitcher with hand painted flowers. We found this penciled note inside - Macinac Island Michigan, August 14 1940. It's closer to 30s vintage pottery than 40s vintage pottery, I guess - this was probably made in 1938 or 1939.

It's just a small, cheaply made souvenir. But charming, nonetheless! Measures 5" tall overall, condition is good.
