1940s vintage patriotic American eagle quilt, red white blue cotton hand stitched applique quilt

Beautiful vintage all cotton hand stitched quilt, probably 1940s / Victory vintage, not an antique from the Centennial or World War I. The fabrics are much older than Bicentennial vintage, and have a lovely soft feel and good thread count.

The quilt measures 64" x 82" overall, and looks very good without a lot of wear. There's no fading at all, this has been carefully stored. We saw a few spots and yellowed areas which we did not attempt to clean. And there's a few thin spots to the fill, though no holes to the quilt top or backing fabric.
