1940s vintage wood splint market basket, rustic primitive handmade basket

Nice old hand crafted basket, dated 1947 in pencil on the bottom. This measures 16" tall (10" deep), 15 1/2" x 8 1/2" across the top.

It's showing wear and age, some breaks or cracks to the weaving. The handle is solid and sturdy. It's clean inside and out with a beautiful patina from age and use.
