1950s vintage Japan ceramic horses book ends, china horse figurines

Cute retro western style book ends with horses, hand painted, made in Japan. They're about 5 1/2" tall, hollow, like figurines - not weighted - so they're more of decorative pieces than for holding heavy books.

Both of these are in very good condition (it's really amazing to find a pair, undamaged at this age). No chips, cracks or repairs.
