30s 40s fashion lady, vintage china half doll for pincushion or boudoir decor

Unmarked vintage china doll torso - I believe this is probably made for a pin cushion doll? She looks 30s or early 40s vintage from her hair, but wouldn't be actual war years I wouldn't think, so maybe late 40s?

She's 4" tall, in excellent condition without damage. I just don't know where this would have been made - Germany? Japan? Maybe USA?
