30s 40s vintage cake cover, painted metal cake keeper dome & tin plate

Lovely old metal cake cover and plate from the late 1930s or early 1940s. The paint is worn, and the tinning is darkened from age, though it's pretty much rust free, and nice and clean.

The lid fits snugly into the cake plate, but it's a cake keeper, not a carrier - not meant to lift by the handle! It'll hold a cake about 10" in diameter.
