40s 50s vintage USA pottery wall pocket, whisk broom brush shape creamy white glaze

Unmarked mid century vintage USA pottery wall pocket, a holder for a whisk broom or a vase that's shaped like a brush! Looks like a McCoy piece to me, though I can't find this design listed anywhere.

It really would be better as a vase or wall caddy for something other than a whisk brush - it doesn't work that well as a brush holder as you can see from the photos. (Brush is not included.)

It's about 7 1/2" long top to bottom, but the pocket does not go as low as the handle, of course. Color is a clean off white or ivory inside and out, with molded ivy design on the front. There's a few tiny glaze chips, but it's pretty nice overall.
