60s 70s vintage chess set, huge plastic chess pieces w/ mod shag fur pile game board

Mid-century mod chess set with oversize plastic game pieces, 60s or 70s vintage. Kings are 6 1/2" tall, pawns 3 1/4" tall. This set is not marked that I could find.

There's a furry fabric 'gameboard' included, though the playing pieces do not stand well on top of it! The pieces are probably too big for most ordinary chess boards, as the squares on this playing mat are 3" x 3".

Pieces are a matte finish black and slightly discolored ivory colored plastic, nice clean felts on the bottoms. They'd make fun display pieces even if you don't play chess.
