7 yards faded blue mini checks gingham print cotton fabric, 70s 80s vintage

1970s or early 80s vintage cotton gingham fabric, PRINTED not woven checks. This is 7 yards of 45" wide fabric.

It's been stored on the original bolt for more than 40 years - and it's noticeably faded or discolored on the folds as it wrapped around the bolt. I took a lot of photos to show you this, it's a repeating stripe across the width of the fabric. I think it's fading more than yellowing, but it might be yellowing as well, it was caused by the contact with the edge sides on the bolt (which is why acid free products for long term storage are so important!).

It might improve with washing, this has never been laundered and I haven't washed it. It's very usable as quilting fabric just as it is. And the muted, rustic blue of the original printing looks fine next to the discolored stripes for a primitive look, actually. Fabric is strong, supple and clean.

We'll be shipping this folded, I have taken this off of the bolt to save it from any further discoloration.
