70s vintage hand painted mushrooms wood box, for holding recipes, napkin holder or planter?

70s vintage witchy hippie style painted mushrooms wood box to hold mail? dried flowers? recipe cards? I can think of so many good uses for this piece! The best of grandmacore and boho style in one.

There's no hole for hanging, but it stands neatly as it is. And this would be simple to hang with alien tape or command strips or something like that.
