Antique English transferware platter, John Edwards, Azalea pattern.

This is marked porcelaine de terre... though looks like a true porcelain (ironstone) rather than earthenware to us!

We love the dark green floral, and the nice small size of this platter. At about 12 1/4" long, it's a lovely piece for the top of a stack.

The hand painted gold accents look very good, though there's some noticeable knife marks or utensil scratching to the surface. No chips or cracks, just a few signs of use at sometime during the last 120 years or so!
