Brotherhood antique embossed brass button metal shank work wear union uniform button 1800s vintage

Very old embossed brass Brother-hood button with metal wobble shank. I was told this is a button from work jeans or overalls, seems very fancy to me! It's in good, used condition. I think the clip on the back was added later, the original shank still looks very good, though.
