Farmhouses for the North, 1950s vintage farm house design plans illustrated leaflet USDA

US Department of Agriculture leaflet published in 1951, Farmhouses for the North. Very interesting, as these are ranch houses, not what is called 'farmhouse' today. Also, much of Illinois isn't exactly 'north' I think - but maybe it just seems like Illinois is a beautiful temperate climate if you live in Wisconsin like me! The houses are cute, cozy, very 50s modern style.
