Geisha girl hand-painted china, vintage Japan porcelain tea pot set
more photos of this product belowVintage Geisha girl pattern hand-painted china, edged in red. This is a sort of a tea set, bought a piece or two at a time, I think? The patterns are very similar, but not identical from piece to piece.
There are four cup and saucer sets and four salad / dessert plates, a 6 1/2" tall teapot and a biscuit jar of about the same size. There's a covered sugar bowl, too - though no creamer. There's a tiny open bowl with a fluted shape (a salt dish? a lemon slice holder?) and a set of salt and pepper shakers.
It's a nice set in very good condition overall, just a few little chips and/or makers flaws. With Geisha ware, it's often hard to tell the difference, as the pieces were cheaply made for sale at dime stores, or as souvenir pieces. We don't often find 'sets' as complete as this one!
